On 15-02-2013 17:28, royston wrote: ST. VALENTINE?S DAY MASSACRE 2013 This was a memorable bash, if only for the numbers taking part. Here is a list of those at the beginning: Players: Droo the wizard Heiach the biohazard wizard Royston the sorcerer Pushover the superhero Crazydimnd the sorcerer Assezvous the pathfinder Marlight the superhero Zephyrus the necromancer Heisenberg the uncertain superhero Gribbyii the hero Deadlock the bash-general sorcerer Poledra the dragonfly-slaying warrior Tollbooth the sorcerer Apart from Heiach and Deadlock, there was nobody on that list whose names I recognised. But wait a minute, what about Crazydimnd the Sorcerer? Allowing for the typo, who can that be? Surely not! I got in a bit late and of course all the half-decent weapons had gone and I had to settle for the croquet mallet. The first player to go was Gribbyii the hero, killed by two dwarfs; closely followed Tollbooth the sorcerer, killed by the Boar. I was there when it happened. Deadlock was also there. The boar fled a couple of times and I missed the final kill. There was the satisfying baying of the wolf dying closely followed by the scream of the dragon. With the great number of players we had, we were very soon down to just 15 mobiles and 54 minutes to go even though the Pagoda was open. The Giants? did not open. I would have thought it would. I managed to swap my mallet for the falchion at the hut, which made me feel a lot more confident. I somehow managed to entice the Spider out and kill it, leaving me with only 26 stam. The final mobile was the Octopus. I found Deadlock (invisible) fighting it and I waded in. Sad to say, the Octopus killed him and I was left on my own. I got 1,549 points for that kill. Not bad eh? Now of course I realised with Deadlock?s demise, the Octopus was not the final mobile after all. It had to be Z11, who was soon found and despatched. Here is the final obit: *obit The following players have died in fights this reset: (Deadlock the dragon-slaying, bash-general necromancer), killed by the octopus, Tollbooth the sorcerer, killed by the boar, Gribbyii the hero, killed by the dwarf and the female dwarf. The following non-first-game players have died to the touchstone this reset: Qodz the protector, short of luck by a large margin.
