Wild guess here.. but I think maybe its Dugtrio?

Nov 15th sounds good to me (mainly because your other date is ages away!). I think replacing the bash is sensible. When I did my scavenger hunt I found it quite hard to get people to turn up on a day/time that they're not used to, whereas people turn up for bashes anyway.

We could schedule a bash for a different day that week (sunday evening?) to make up for it. Just a suggestion though, I'm personally not bothered when this thing happens.

Ok, I'll say a date to get things off of the ground eh?

Thursday the 15th of November?
Thursday the 13th of December?

Of those two dates I'm voting for 15th Nov. Partly because I know I can't make the 13th Dec and mostly because there will be a Christmas event in December and it is better to spread the events out.

It's a shame you're only asking for wizard volunteers and not witch ones as well ...

Can everyone who I've inducted into the mortal team please add me to their MSN, away from snooping wizards?

Heiach@hotmail.com
(Note this is not my e-mail address, use mudmail.)

I just thought I'd add that I do not use MSN to communicate while playing MUDii and I do not encourage such behaviour.

I thought your use of the term 'wizard' was a slip but what you just said sounds incrediably sexist. I hope not!

I was teasing you for using wizard instead of wiz.

If you fix a date and time we can get some advertising out about this event.

Nov 15th .

As for the time, I guess 21:00 would make logical sense!

Hi girls and boys,

I remember how much fun these can be. Last one I was in, team names were Diseases (wizards) vs 60s singers (mortals)
That was a long time ago, mind.

I still havn't forgiven Antman for killing me.

Count me in.

Anyone mind going over the rules?

I've only taken part in one or two sorc wars, and I'm not sure about stuff like QQing to tea room and going north again.

Is it going to be most kills, or last team standing?

Yes, I will be posting something soon, however I need to wait for Heiach to read a mudmail I sent him before this can be done.

Event information, including rules, will be posted by the end of the weekend

Here are some rules and guidelines about the sorcerer war:

  • All participants must start the event with a novice (zero-point) persona.

  • Everyone will be sorcerised, that is be given temporary sorcerer/ess status. This will last until the player quits or is killed.

  • The mortals will be put into one team, the wizzes another.

  • Members of each team will be able to communicate with their fellow team-mates by using the TEAM command e.g. team hi will tell everyone on their team hi.

  • There will be no player vs. player fighting during the first 5 minutes of the event (5 minutes from when the participants leave the tearoom). Anyone breaking this rule will be disqualified.

  • The aim of the event is to eliminate all members of the other team. The last team with players remaining wins.

  • Once a player is killed (or quits) they cannot re-enter the event and must stay in the tearoom with the spectators.

  • Only people playing in the event may leave the tearoom for the duration of the sorcerer war.

  • If you are in the tearoom please do not deliberately distract players by talking to them or shouting.

  • As with all sorcerer wars, players are not treated exactly as normal players, for example sorcerised players can't be killed with "silly deaths" and more than one can occupy a small room.

If you are new, or rusty, to sorcerer wars this article may be useful: http://www.mudii.co.uk/article.php?id=2

If you have any questions please post them here.
