The world as we know it is ending on the 21st of December! So too will The Land of the MUD... well for 1 reset at least.

This special event is planned to happen at 21:00 on Friday the 21st of December...

Zombies.. zombies everywhere!

Hello guys!
I've been told to write this bash report.. *mutter mutter* Hehe.

We had an amazing turn-out and people got stuck in right away:

Heiach the biohazard wizard
Paine the matriarch
Hakkar the sorceress
Daenerys the warlock
Blackheart the warlock
Bilbo the spellbinder
Folly the necromancer

The first three waves of zombies flowed into The Land. They were mostly ignored at first as everyone kitted up and arranged the pillar. The first boss arrived and clomped about for at least half an hour before being destroyed!

The first death happened literally minutes from the start of the reset!

It happened at exactly the same time as a crack of thunder! It seemed very appropriate!

In the distance, you hear a bell toll.
In the distance, you hear the \c/r\a/c\k/ of thunder!

The following players have died in fights this reset:
Antibiotic the necromancer, killed by the zombie ram.

He was soon at warrior and leapt back into action! He killed off the ram, hit swordsman and then attacked a ton of zombie rats in one swoop!

The early death seemed to set the tone for the rest of the set, as was the lack of bees for Folly to kill as usual. The ground was shaking and large rocks were falling from the sky.

After only the 4th wave of zombies, Alice sadly bit the dust:

In the distance, you hear the mighty HAWUMPH of a dragon's fiery breath!
In the distance, you hear a bell toll.

He and headed back into the fray as Crixas to dispose of his killer.

Everything seemed to be going well and the SV count got really low, to 150 (which is good considering there were an extra 200 or so zombies added onto the normal set!) and then this happened:

In the distance, you hear a bell toll.
*Crixas has just arrived.
*Crixas shouts "lol".
Heiach the biohazard wizard says "how much in 1 hit?".
*Crixas says "60".
Heiach the biohazard wizard says "seems about right...".
*Crixas laughs.

By this point the 10th wave were on their way and the zombies seemed to be winning fairly easily. Hakkar fled out and rested in the tearoom before heading out again:

In the distance, you hear a bell toll.

The following players have died in fights this reset:
Hakkar the sorceress, killed by 5 zombies,
(Crixas the bash-general necromancer), killed by 2 zombies,
Antibiotic the necromancer, killed by the zombie ram.
The following players have died miscellaneous deaths this reset:
Alice the bash-general necromancer, killed by the dragon's breath.

He and Crixas were both on sorcerised personae now, having died plenty of times! The fight must go on!

They all carried on valiantly! The SV got down as low as 41 as the 2-minute reset kicked in.

Now I may have missed a few of Alice's deaths but here is the final obit I got:

Alice the sorcerised sorceress, killed by the demonic zombie,
Alice the bash-general sorceress, killed by the demonic zombie,

Hakkar the sorceress, killed by 5 zombies,
(Crixas the bash-general necromancer), killed by 2 zombies,
Antibiotic the necromancer, killed by the zombie ram.
The following players have died miscellaneous deaths this reset:
Alice the bash-general necromancer, killed by the dragon's breath.

And then my little surprised kicked in, noone knew about it.. mass-death!

A reset is due in 4 seconds.

Your surroundings seem to darken significantly as a gigantic shadow covers
everything. Your flesh burns and bubbles as the colossal meteorite smashes
into The Land!

Not updating persona.

Muhahahaha. I hope other people will be able to add to this write-up, but I hear everyone really, really enjoyed it!

OK, here's the story with the bees... Last Saturday there was a test run for tonight's event, and there was a zombie in the maze:

A busy zombie buzzes by.

You have killed the zombie.

Now, tonight, I thought I'd go pick up a key and kill the bee zombie...

OK, Folly the necromancer laughs.

sprout from all sides of the ancient hedges around you. The Henry VIII
feeling of satisfaction imparted by this place is muted only by your natural
fear of how the hell to get out and find the real world. There is an old and
bearded zombie (zombie14) here. Resting here resplendently is a superb
ornamental jar. An interesting old beehive stands here, exposed to the
elements.

Alternatively - Upwards, you see a massive saucer shaped craft (probably manned by super intelligent mobiles).
