Oyez Oyez Oyez

Since there have been a couple of minor issues re Muddled Times etc recently, which instantly starts the conspiracy theorists assuming Karya has been kidnapped by aliens, it falls to me to set the record straight.

Firstly, I have arranged with the aliens to allow Karya a leave of absence while she gets the Muddled Times archives sorted out, which is anticipated to be soon. Once this is done, the question of its successor can be addressed, with Kiwijock already "volunteering" an article.

Mainly though, due to commitments in the land known as "outside Mud", Foddy and Karya have decided to formally announce that they are to be taking a less active role in the game, for the foreseeable future.

Whilst they are not retiring as such, and indeed are both very keen to take "as active a role as they can", the day to day management will henceforth be down to myself and Turrican, with the emphasis on Turrican doing the technical stuff, whilst I pick up on what I think he wants to call 'everything else', such as queries, problems not of a technical nature (ie not to do with the game code), rants, etc.

We can both be reached either by mudmail, or via email (mine is hawumph@mudii.co.uk). Also, as part of this, the admin@mudii.co.uk emails now come to me, as some of you will already know.

Since this has in effect been the way the game has run for quite a while, I don't anticipate any issues arising from this, but if you spot anything, please let me know.

That'd be good copy for the new, improved Muddled Times!

I knew eventually it would come to this...

Now that they are taken care of, only Hawumph stands between Turrican and his reign of chaos.

Only the majority of the rest of the mud population.

I think it is actually a requirement.

Oh I have hundreds of those.

Well mostly, they are just missing the permission to post bit. But hey, by the time I finish, they will look really authentic

--------
Before i have to leave i would like to give my reason for the downfall of this
once great game. The departure of Cat was a great loss to the community of mud
and the beginning of the end. He was the most senior wiz <excluding the
arches> and everyone respected him. He could keep the mortals in check so the
game was run fairly, basically because he was on <vis anyway> more than any
arche's. He could also keep all the wizzes under control aswell though. No
more bullying of mortals! Once he stopped playing people could get away with
being abusive etc because wizzes were either too concerned with their wizmort
personas or just never on.# Agrazag is the worst culprit <speaking from
personal experience>!!! attacking his wizmorts is not wise as he'll continuely
chase you until he kills you then threaten you with his wiz and eventually fod
you. Even then he claims he was in the right and the arches are on as invis
and are telling him hes doing the right thing so don't bother complaining to
them, and if u try anyway i'll fod you again! with cat here though i'm sure
this behaviour would have not gone unpunished! i'm not blaming cat, its not
responsibility to keep this game in control, but we need someone to be on most
of the time to control mortals and wizzes alike!!!!

Personally, i believe that Richard Underwood, under the alias "FODDY" is one
of the controversial 'Secret Rulers of the World' as explained on the channel
four documentary.

His take over of the 1970's mind control game "MUDII" and incorperation of
rooms such as the "interrogation room" and the extra quests such as the
"Search for biological superiorty" (incidently found near the cannon room).
Seem to prove this move for world domination thorugh the mind of an 'elite'
few, headed by his new first in command "Dclxvi" (names that cannot be
pronounced without the aid of a second mouth) go to prove his move is not a
benign one but that of a maleovent superpower.

Slowly, he will make you pay for your demise, and the demise of our so beloved
society, so BEWARE citizens!

Summoning a sorc who has just entered the land and is on 28 stam with your
mage is very, very sad.

QQing right afterwards so's not to face an argument is even sadder, you knew
you were in the wrong obviously.

Such is the state of the game. Just yesterday I was attacked while tring to do
the keep, and when I eventually did do it, I found the keep treasure was
stolen.

To be honest, I'll be suprised if many people will pay for this game if such
things are gonna happen. I wonder if its possible to actually do things like
the keep and get the reward you deserve without some mindless cretin taking
all of it.

I don't think i'll even go into how sad current wizmorts are aswell.

PS - Nice reattack triggers.

A nice example of rantology.

If the odd full stop could be added, though, I would not feel like I was about to explode from lack of breath whilst awaiting the end of a sentence.

Now that we have new leadership, and in the spirit of harmony and mutual appreciation, may I take this opportunity to once again call for Armand to be banned forthwith?

I have a petition somewhere.

Thanking you, etc. etc.
