Oh well one out of three is not bad going. Check out the statistics at http://www.hawumph.co.uk/top10.htm, which I hope to make a regular feature.

Its all true, its just not something you may have seen before!

Whoops

Looks like I submitted when I hadn't written anything.

I'll edit that now and say :

Go Look at the website at http://vulnax.users.btopenworld.com

Remember the Meet this August, info found on that website too!

Very nice.

Which other stats could you put up?

Number of mobiles killed in a set?
Most flees in a set?
Biggest points gain / points loss in a set?
Most wafers used in a set?
Most spells cast in a set?
Number of tasks completed in a set, maybe in shortest time??
Player most attacked in a set - by mobiles or players?
Number of silly deaths in a set?

Would these be of interest, and would they be a lot of work to get the stats??

Love the page.

As for Jamesb's suggestions, things like biggest gain/loss in score would be interesting, but it would have to be capped somewhere - otherwise the list would be hundreds of lines long, most of which give a score of 200 points or thereabouts. Ditto for number of mobiles killed.

Keep up the good work though

The idea is to try and make it top tens which would automatically cap things - obviously I started with Dragon related stuff cos thats my particular thing, but keep the feedback coming and who knows, you too may one day have the reward for most silly deaths in a set!

Great statistics, Hawumph. I look forward to seeing the finished site!

In anticipation of people asking for top 10s (I sent a message out to website owners when we were on Wireplay!) I've been collecting data since October 2001. Did you know that last week:

  • Anelka killed the most mobiles, followed closely by Squaremeal, Theman third.
  • goblin3 was the most victimised mobile. goblin2 a close second. (rat18 was third!)
  • The wolf, ox and beetle were only killed in a fight once all week.
  • Anelka also swamped the most treasure, again followed closely by Squaremeal.
  • The thief swamped more treasure than any other mortal, though!
  • The key10 was swamped more than the necklace0!

Interesting stuff? If you're running a MUD2-related website and would like some interesting statistics, let me know and I'll see what I can do. (Not everything is possible, though!)

Have fun,

Foddy

Ok, so lets have a Death Of The Month as well as a Player of the Month ...

Kinda evens it out ehh?

Gives us ALL a chance to star in our very own statistic!!

But how would you decide a death of the month - highest level player, most unlucky?

Agreed Az. As they were the top 10 statistics I assumed it would be the top ten points scorers and top ten point losers, etc. which inherently introduce a cap to the table.

The more the merrier tables, and may encourage a more (!!)competitive play style if personae want to get on the tables.
Just my 2 euros ...

Of course you all could just take the idea and run with it - Foddy say's he's got more stats, and my site really was aimed at mostly Dragon related incidents in the charts.

Maybe resurrect some of the old web sites, or maybe Vulnax's Vault of Virtual Veracity could appear on the web?

Quick edit here - new charts available for your viewing displeasure - no new records though - shame on you all!

Vulnax's Vault Of Virtual Veracity {(c) Hawumph, 2002 } is in it's early stages of build ( like, thrown together ! ) and will be evolving.

Enter the Vault here : http://vulnax.users.btopenworld.com

Initially aiming to advertise the next Mud Meet, but is hoped to do a whole lot more.
Think of it as evolution in action!

I think I might have 'most silly deaths in a set' as a record ... some years ago, I managed to get about 120 with Apeomancer!

The chart page is developing, let me know how you would ike the mobiles killed per week to be shown - total no. or an average by no. available etc.

The event monitor is working well, leading to a summary of the event. Any comments?

Any other topics that anyone would like or would like to submit?

You know where to find me....

Forgot to say, the site can now be found via several search engines, including Google, if you lost the address!

vulnax.users.btopenworld.com
