If you read this post earlier, sorry I am totally rewriting it

Hello, we have a date!
The 18th and 19th October, Worthing.
There will be plenty more information to come, so let me know if you can make it on this date.

Thanks, hopefully hear from you soon!

Don't worry Mapper. We are all going to lie to you and send you to some random place like Auchtermuchty, well out of the way of the rest of us normal folk.

Oops, have I said too much here Cen?

I am sure you two fellas will get on just fine- you can each have your own ice creams and if there is any handbags a flyin' someone might catch it on camcorder. Bonus.

I live 136 miles from Auchtermuchty, and 416 miles from Worthing. So you were saying, well out of the way of the rest of us normal folk???????

I ssssoooooo want to reply to your post Hawumph, but it really, really wouldn't be worth the pain inflicted by an Arch Wizard on a lowly Protector!

Right as this is everyone's Mudmeet I want your opinions. We have a few ideas in mind for this meet as it the special three-zero for Mud, so please let me know which sounds more up your street if you please

Option A:
Hiring a small venue, or floor in a pub something along those lines with awards for Mud creaters etc, possibly music, wotsits (ok maybe not wotsits), for the main day (Saturday) so there isn't a problem with age restriction, where .commers, mudii.co.ukers and blers can all meet up- past and present- to hang out. Possibly with curry on the Friday night and carvery on the Sunday midday.

Option B:
Traditional method- pub, pool, maybe gokarting or bowling for the nutters, some dancematting for the weirder people (lol ok thats optional too), a meal somewhere, Friday curry and Sunday carvery.

What would you guys prefer for your meet? Input needed

I have only experienced option B in the past & I enjoyed that.

However, I'm quite happy to try option A too.

I shall now end this totally pointless post. I don't know why I bother sometimes.

I vote traditional! But I'm easy going so I won't complain either way. Can we make the .com players sit at their own table? With Blib...

Reckon there will be some bad blood between the two groups then? Seriously?

sounds like a mudmeet bash !

I had heard that you were easy Hal ( at least thats what Blib said )

The only problem with hiring a hall/ room etc is some people may not be able to afford to contribute , and could make them feel uneasy.
But if the numbers are going to be big , a pub isnt the best enviroment to chat and large numbers could prove a problem to manage . Quite a logistical problem you have Zordell . (Not that i have anything against the traditional option , as long as i can get a good seat to see Hal and Blib bicker , and CF getting drunk all will be worthwhile !)

Ulath

Attendees would not be expected to pay for entry in either option! ( or contribute to the room hire )

Just your food and drinks. You can buy me one if you like.

If things go as desired... there will be many people there and some specific events taking place. Some "guests" may try and disappear when the pool or other specifics come up etc. as they can't "party like the young uns!" and we don't want to scare them away.

V

PS CF drunk / falling over, and Blib Vs Armand .. guaranteed!

I want to make this perfectly clear from the start. I shall not be bickering with Mapper. It is pointless as he is always in the wrong and so I shall not be wasting my time with him.

Thank you and good evening.

Any suggestions or preferences for things to do at the meet? MUD related preferred?

Somethings to ponder..... . . . . . . . .

Pin the catheter/wand on the wizard? ( Depends on which wiz !! )
Whose dragon is it anyway?
Whats my task ?
Muddled quiz?
Treasure hunt ?
FOD Roulette?
Touchstone - Death or Glory

And many more...

No point bickering with him anyway mate, he'll be AFK most of the meet, surely?

However Zordell seems keen to practice so we could catheterise any AFK attendees?
