Oh yeah, I didn't even spot that myself. Yes, it is a typo.

I've tried playing around with the dragon image on the front page at mudii.co.uk, but it looks terrible when I shrink it down to 32x32.
Anyone have any other ideas? It would be nice to submit an icon and get our money's worth.

I know it may seem like a really stupid question, but how does the banner rotation work? I have been on a few times today and not seen it, ...then this time it was there?
And where would the icon be positioned?

Rotation means that there are around 10 other MUDs advertising on the site, and the banners are rotated so that ours will display every 1 in 10 times that someone views the page ((or however many are in the rotation).
The icon displays to the left of the MUD's name in the main listings. You can see examples in most of the top ten.

Took me more than a dozen refreshes to see our MUDII banner ad, many of the others came up several times before 1 of MUD's. e.g. materia magik, batmud and others. Guess they pay more???
What I was going to ask, does the white message leave "retinal after images" on the black background, as it looks messy after the flying text about a dragon, 1 king, and a talking sword, even down to the 20 years in continuous development...
or is it just me?

That is just the nature of probabilities. If you toss a dice, and get 1, 4, 3, 4, 2, 3, 5, 6 (with 6 being "mud"), that wouldn't be anything unusual, even though 4 and 3 came up more than once before the 6.
I'm certain that the site doesn't give priority to people who pay more, as it is just a fixed price and the more expensive options are for the other ads like the slot in the middle of the page, which you CAN get exclusively.

Why doesn't that surprise me in the slightest?

In 40 refreshes we would expect 4 displays each if they only show a rolling 10 websites?
So 30% of the paying MUDs got 1 more than expected, approx 20% get the expected displays, 50% got less ( 2x1, 2x2 or 2x3 ) ... arethe ones with most displ;ays theewer paid members, or really all down to "random" selection by the server?
I would have thought they would put the 10 banners in a queue and just gone through them on a rolling order... ?
At least it's there amd working, well done all!

No, it is random. Each time a topmudsites.com page is loaded, it rolls a virtual die with approx 10 sides (or however many muds there are) to decide which one to display. On a random selection you would not expect each site to come up exactly the same number of times, but if you rolled a very large number of times, you would expect it to "approach" an equal quantity. I'm not going to refresh the page 1000 times (even if it would please Blib!), but if I did, I'm sure the numbers would look more evenly distributed.

Yeah, I've been watching us creep closer to 26 by 1-2 votes every day. We finally got there today.
I believe that next campaign, we have a decent chance of getting onto the front page (position 20) if everyone gives it a good go once it resets. I'm not sure exactly when the reset is but it should be soon.
