It started off quietly enough with three of us, Crixas and Rapscalion at necromancer and Folly at hero. Crixas had been voted bash general and, having arrived a bit late, I went in search of the falchion hoping to decimate much of the Land?s birdlife with it. Things were fairly quiet until players who were more alert arrived. We were soon joined by Crazydimnd, Royston and then Jumpup. Not quite sure what everyone else was up to, I decided to try and convince the hunchback that he should share his wafers. He wasn?t of the same mind and drove me off to another corner of the scriptorium where I nursed my wounds. Someone shouted for help with the Keep so I used that excuse to leave the monastery (bravely dispatching the piglet on my way out the door). I managed to trade in the falchion for the dagger at the Keep and, in helping Crixas with some of the dwarves, was able to pick up two mini-wafers. Meanwhile, Folly was cutting a wide swath through mobiles on sea and land with the help of his trusty longsword. Crixas slew the dragon and I believe it was Crazydimnd who felled the March hare and Royston the snake charmer who once again worked his magic under the well. Jumpup assisted in meditating for the icons. Turns out, the golem had collected the broadsword while we had all been busy elsewhere but Crixas was able to prevail. Towards the end, after having killed the parrot and raven, I noticed that the Pagoda had opened. We all sped there. The tiger jumped me in the courtyard but with the arrival of Crixas was soon dealt with. I have no idea who killed the apes or the giant snake. There were still one or two mobiles remaining ? and it seemed that Folly would also triumph on that front but it was not meant to be. Sadly, he fell to the Phoenix. Unearthing my scribbled notes and maps, I ascended the first floor of the Pagoda. A bit more sleuthing and I was on the second floor groping for the phoenix in the pitch black (they don?t like to be groped, by the way). The two mini-wafers came in very handy but in the end it was necessary to whip out my flask and imbibe of gran?s special brew. Another bird was added to my obit count. Lastly, the mongoose, and victory was ours! This was what happened to the best of my recollection. However, gran?s special brew might have blurred a few details. I blame all inaccuracies on it of course.
