What strikes me is the remarkable absence of English in what is said. The total disregard for grammar, punctuation and, above all, spelling is spectacular, making it difficult to follow the plot. What follows is verbatim; except that I have deleted a fight with the stag and various irrelevant wanderings. An aggravation to all this rubbish is the deprivation of sleep suffered by all. I have attempted to translate (in square brackets) what was said into standard English. There are no guarantees that I am right. MUD Log File ZZZzzz... *A female voice in the distance shouts "why". [*] I have no idea what this means and I would appreciate someone telling me. The killing of Darkrogue brings the role played by the Bash-General into the spotlight. Generally (no pun intended), while there is clearly no illegality in PK?ing during a bash, it could be considered undesirable because not only does it reduce, by its very nature, the number of players available to deal with mobiles, but when a PK comes into the land, so many players rush off to the sanctuary of the Tearoom and it takes a lot of coaxing to get them back out. Here we have a situation where three players, Kingcobra, Mystique and Leland the Bash-General are working as a team dealing with the Sealife. There are resting at the Vicious Rocks. Kingcobra is asleep. Darkrogue appears on scene and immediately attacks Kingcobra. The bash-general surely has a duty ensuring that play goes smoothly towards the stated goal of killing all the mobiles in the allotted time. He cannot possibly afford to lose a player like Kingcobra and must discourage PK?ing. Rightly he defends Kingcobra and Mystique also joins in. The result is inevitable. Personally I think anyone attacking one of three players who are already bonded as a team, especially players of the this calibre, is asking for a whole lot of trouble and he got it. It was sad that after this incident Leland should fall to the snow leopard assisted by an ape. Sad yet strangely comforting that such an experienced player is still capable of error. Personally I blame Xarubbabel who should have dealt with the snow leopard after the pony and the snowbird. Though, to be fair, he did ?wh? it three times. *You hit the snowbird (10-14). You have killed the snowbird. (+49 = 64,622). The snowbird has just passed on. *sh Byeeee You shout "Byeeee". *wh snowleopard Your spell doesn't find any. *wh snowleopard Your spell doesn't find any. *wh snowleopard Your spell doesn't find any. *rs Ironically he benefited in no small degree from Leland?s loss: The snow leopard looks close to death. The snow leopard hits you (101/120). *You hit the snow leopard (10-14). You have killed the snow leopard. (+2,592 = 68,525). But for most people the big mystery will always be: How can someone get to Necro. Level without knowing where the West Fissure is, without knowing how to get back from the Classical ruin without an RS, and, strangest of all without knowing the ?wh? spell. [/quote]
