Tangled garden.
You find yourself standing in a strange garden, a tangle of weeds, briars and unkempt flowers. All around are tall, silent-looking trees, gently swaying as if in a breeze, yet the air is still and cool. Eastwards, the garden gives way to a paved area, beyond which steps lead up to a covered gallery, and the garden continues to the northeast. Standing here is a lifelike statue (statue6) of a basilisk. ----- ------ -- - -----, -------- -------------, ---- ------- -- --- ----. A pretty, yellow primrose grows here. A small, delicate crocus grows here. A wafer biscuit lies here. Peeking out of the soil is the root of a strange plant. Sprouting through the weeds is a pretty alyssum.

(Full credit goes to Erk from the Dragon system for this one)

It's obviously just died of old age and become fossilised.

Hmm... I've tried the most obvious method of causing this, but it didn't work. Then again, that WAS a long time ago. Last time I tried it, no one had heard of Facebook or Twitter, or even Youtube. I'm pretty sure it was at the very least THAT long ago when I last tried it.

In any case, I ended up deciding it wasn't going to work and there wasn't any way I could get the desired result to happen. So I haven't tried it since.

Years later, it's still not clear how this might have happened. Outside of wizzes just messing around trying to confuse players.

I've tried the most obvious ways of getting the basilisk to use its power on itself, but none of them have worked.

I still wonder if it's just a wiz messing with players.
