Following requests and suggestions on these forums concerning the current mudii.co.uk website Foddy and I will be working on the website. The proposed changes list looks something like this:
- Replace current Java client with a better one
- "Play MUD2 Now" link from main page
- Actively promote the use of a single client such as Clio or Turrican's client. Long-term this will be a custom made client
- Reduce the number of options in the menu
- Display a mini top 10 on the home page
- Create a more user-friendly "manage account" system
- Replace "Getting Started" with a newbie help/game information section
- Re-work the library
- Various cosmetic changes to the home page and other sections
Is there anything else that you would like changed or added to the website? It may not be possible to implement all suggested changes however all feedback and ideas are valuable. Many of the items on the above list are as a direct result of suggestions made by current players.

Why would you want to reduce the number of options in the menu? I'd think a good number of options would be a good thing. Unless many of those 'options' just take you to the same place, in which case they're redundant.

One of the things that came out of the group discussion is that the mudii.co.uk website is not particularly newbie friendly. Specifically, there are too many options on the home page. For this reason we are intending to reduce and rename some of the options in the menu. For example, we are going to remove the ?Top 10?link and put a small, automated top 10 on the home page and move the link to the library section.
If you don?t agree with this proposal please let us know.
Any other bits of feedback?
