As I like to say, each bash is different, and each ends up telling a different story. We'll have to wait and see what stories future bashes may tell. Special thanks to Spamton's unpaid intern for contributing portions of this writeup, and to Highfields and Helmsman for further clarification.
Appendix for the Bash writeup of 30/05/2024 Well, this bash was a fun one, and as usual I'm glad to do the writeup. Sometimes, however, one runs into events that are difficult to go into detail without slowing down the overall report, and thus one might have to just give brief one-line statements about them and move on just to keep things moving. But some of these things are still worth going into more detail, so here's the Appendix to the above bash report. Dara got briefly stranded in the North Mountain area after Highfields offed the pony, pagoda wasn't open, and she didn't SITE beforehand. Highfields also had a SITE related mishap. Highfields the necromancer says "yeah, sorry for killing your pony". Highfields the necromancer grins. Zalagar the wistful witch smiles. Zalagar the wistful witch says "Fortunately, you were nice enough to give Dara a parasol to make up for it.". Highfields the necromancer nods. Highfields the necromancer says "i typod my first site, so couldn't resite after killing the bees. took the scenic route out of the maze". Zalagar the wistful witch says "Ah, I think I'll note that in the Appendix, where I also go into the prefix/postfix mischief in more detail.". Dara was grateful for the parasol, and quickly rejoined the rest of the group. Earlier in the bash, there was some prefix and postfix-related mischief. I alluded to it in the writeup, but there was more than just the one highlight I showed. In the writeup, I shared the following who list. *who Heiach the chimerical wizard Spamton the dragonfly-slaying, dragon-slaying, giant-killing, doomed, surrealist, rat-rustling, dwarf-dispatching, zombie-zonking, spamming superhero Highfields the tired, bash-general necromancer Dara the explara necromancess Helmsman the mayonnaise sorcerer Drizzle the wobbly mage However, this was only the beginning of the prefix mischief. It grew and evolved from there. (feel free to add screenshots of the who lists with the prefixes) *who Heiach the chimerical wizard Spamton the dragonfly-slaying, dragon-slaying, giant-killing, doomed, surrealist, rat-rustling, dwarf-dispatching, zombie-zonking, ape-attacking, shark-slapping, bird-bashing, wraith-whomping, banshee-boffing, skeleton-scattering, spamming superhero Highfields the tired, bash-general necromancer Dara the explara necromancess Helmsman the mayonnaise sorcerer Drizzle the wobbly mage And just when you thought it couldn't get more ridiculous, postfixes got into the mix. (feel free to add screenshots of the who lists with the prefixes and postfixes) *who Heiach the chimerical wizard Spamton the dragonfly-slaying, dragon-slaying, giant-killing, doomed, surrealist, rat-rustling, dwarf-dispatching, zombie-zonking, ape-attacking, shark-slapping, bird-bashing, wraith-whomping, banshee-boffing, skeleton-scattering, spamming superhero who really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really likes to spam Highfields the tired, bash-general necromancer Dara the explara necromancess Helmsman the mayonnaise sorcerer Drizzle the wobbly mage Needless to say, this got more than a bit crazy when other players encountered Spamton during this point in the bash. Dara contributed this log portion of the time she passed through the underground stream area on her way to the north mountain area, and saw Spamton in combat: Underground stream. You are negotiating a fast-flowing underground stream, which meanders from the north to a more straight course southwards. The water is dark, clear and bitterly cold, and although the walls are smoothed by its abrasive action the ceiling is wickedly sharp. A slimy, slithering water-snake surfaces in front of you. Spamton the dragonfly-slaying, dragon-slaying, giant-killing, doomed, surrealist, rat-rustling, dwarf-dispatching, zombie-zonking, ape-attacking, shark-slapping, bird-bashing, wraith-whomping, banshee-boffing, skeleton-scattering, spamming superhero who really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really likes to spam is here carrying a staff0. Spamton the dragonfly-slaying, dragon-slaying, giant-killing, doomed, surrealist, rat-rustling, dwarf-dispatching, zombie-zonking, ape-attacking, shark-slapping, bird-bashing, wraith-whomping, banshee-boffing, skeleton-scattering, spamming superhero who really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really likes to spam is fighting the water-snake3. Heiach was quick to realize, however, that these absurdly long prefixes and postfixes (even if they fit what Spamton is parodying) couldn't stay for the rest of the bash, especially if other players were to team with Spamton to take on the tougher mobiles or otherwise interact with Spamton for any considerable length of time. So the prefix craziness was toned down soon after the above Spamton sighting, to the following: *who Heiach the chimerical wizard Spamton the watersnake-wrangling superhero Highfields the tired, bash-general necromancer Dara the explara necromancess Helmsman the mayonnaise sorcerer Drizzle the wobbly mage Helmsman, meanwhile, noted that he had lots of trouble with the undead this bash. Plenty of them gathered near the evil wood, in addition to evil wood regulars the vampire and the wraith. He stated that "It was mostly vampire, wraith, and skeletons thatgave me difficulties. Normally they're not nearly so... uh... difficult.". As for the end of the bash with the golem, Highfields reported "had no idea who medded, just gave an icon to anyone who turned up at the hut after bash highlight was wh'ing the dove before i had to use the md, which i saved for a later reset." And at the end of the bash, there was the following: *who Heiach the chimerical wizard Helmsman the sorcerer Spamton the watersnake-wrangling champion Highfields the tired, bash-general necromancer Dara the explara necromancess Drizzle the wobbly mage Anyway, this concludes the Appendix of the writeup. (This is the Appendix. The writeup for 30/05/2024's mobile bash can be found above).
