As most of you must know by now, in real life I live in Spain on the Costa Blanca. This morning we decided to go out to an English caf? for a full English breakfast. Soon after putting on the nosebags, a German couple came in and sat at the table next to us. The Waitress, who was English, decided to greet them in their native tongue. But she got it wrong. Instead of saying "Guten Tag", she said "Auf Wedersehen". Without another word the Germans got up and left. Worthy of Fawlty Towers. You cannot make this sort of thing up.

You mean they hadn't already reserved the table using towels?

Don't mention the war! I already mentioned it once, but I think I got away with it.
