I was wondering if anyone here could give us a mortal-perspective on this matter. What kinds of things would you like to see on the mud?

New objects or mobiles.
Adjustments to current items, mobiles..
Any misc ideas!

Serious, constructive ideas please!

How about some crank or something that could be turned to open up the giants area without waiting for a large number of players? This device could only be operated by highlifes (since, let's face it, the area's meant for highlifes who know what they're doing).

I'm with Laura on that one. I've been wanting a way to open giants since I first began exploring the area. Originally it was designed in times when a trigger of 10 people made sense and was common, but with the current low numbers of players it seems a shame for such an interesting area to be going to waste.

We already have one of them. It's called Blib.

I'd like to see the pagoda opening based on how many people are in the land - I.E. not in the tearoom.

Often player bashes of only 2-3 people are faced with the challenge of braving the pagoda.

Another idea would be a way to close off the pagoda and redwoods once they have been opened, providing they are void of players in the area...

I think the giant thing would be neat though I'd still like a set limit on the amount of players - simply because it wasn't intended to give all the extra points to just one or maybe two players. Perhaps not as high as 11 players but maybe get an average number of players online over say a month and +1 to it. It could even change monthly to add more randomness/spice to the mud =] x

Still problem of opens too often in bashes or almost never opens in other resets. I've changed the numbers slightly anyway.

I'm not sure this is such a huge problem, since you'd have to spend time and resources (wafers) in there that you'd be unable to spend elsewhere, although I'm sure it would add some amount onto the maximum good players could get in a single reset.

There is another solution though. Use the standard treasure valuing system. If giants is opened, all treasure is worth slightly less to make up for it.

Ah good. I'm glad it wasn't just me who cringed when he saw the brackets.

Has Turrican not finished the latest update to MUDii yet?

Or is it sooooo subtle I haven't seen it?

Maybe I need to be in game to notice?!?!

Seriously, did the game database get any significant updates / changes for us mere mortals to notice in the last 18 months or so?
Apart from removing the Armand and Blib mobiles?

Ciao.

No. I took a long break, it'll be done sometime early this year, promise!

It crashes less, you could notice that at the option prompt.

Hmmmm I wonder what it would be like if mortals could initiate wiz made quests by themselves. It could be similar to the redwoods area and can't you simply remove the treasure value for quest loot anyway? It will be fun just exploring

I haven't witnessed a quest take place so I have no idea about their extent and how they affect the rest of the land... but as you can see, I have a craving for new content here!

There's plenty of points in a normal reset!

Try wishing (the command) for a quest, and/or keep reminding/pestering me about the new version.

Take a look at the renewed proposal above, pwease?

Besides I'd like to try the wish command but it won't work without wizzes around, will it?
